2018 Wild for Cats Fundraising Campaign

Dear Friends of Lake Highlands High School,

We are excited to share with you an update from Wild for Cats – The Academic Booster Club for Lake Highlands High School. Wild for Cats exists to enhance the academic reputation of Lake Highlands High School. As a result of the support of the community, Wild for Cats has funded programs to promote success and provide academic opportunities for all students.

Because of your contributions to the Wild for Cats 2017 campaign, Lake Highlands High School had additional funds to create collaborative learning centers for the Developmental Learning Program and AVID students, provide testing tables and chairs, provide additional staff development, provide student incentives, and equip incoming freshman with “Class of 2021” t-shirts to celebrate the start of their Wildcat journey.

Our 2018 Wild for Cats fundraising campaign is now underway. For 2018, our goal is to:

  • Create a collaborative learning lab;
  • Provide students with standardized test preparation and online study aids;
  • Sponsor professional development for LHHS faculty; and
  • Provide funds for teacher and departmental “wish lists.”

Please contribute today by mailing your check payable to: Wild for Cats – RISD Foundation, 9449 Church Road, Dallas, TX 75238. You can also contribute online: www.WildforCats.com.

We look forward to your continued support of Wild for Cats. All donors will receive a “Wild for Cats” yard sign and will be recognized at various academic ceremonies, on our website, and in the All-Sports program. Donors contributing $500 or more will be invited to join us for a celebration on the stadium patio during a LHHS home football game this Fall on October 12, 2018. We also encourage you to join the Future 500 Club, pledging to make gifts of at least $500 per year for the next five years. Please consider an investment in the academic success of our students. We need your help to keep Lake Highlands High School the strong academic center of our Lake Highlands community.

Thank you for your support of LHHS,

2017/2018 Wild for Cats Steering Committee
